Source: WTO partially sides with Kiev in railcar case vs Russia

MOSCOW, Feb 4 (PRIME) -- The World Trade Organization (WTO) has partially upheld an appeal by Ukraine in a dispute with Russia over imports of Ukrainian railcars and track switches, a source with knowledge of the decision told PRIME on Tuesday.

“The appellation body of the WTO has partially revised the decision of an arbiter panel in Ukraine’s case against Russia on the measures of railway equipment imports, agreeing with two Ukraine’s claims and turning down Russia’s arguments,” the source said.

Ukraine filed the suit against Russia’s restrictions on railcar and railroad switch imports to the WTO in October 2015.
